I'm Searching For..

The next few months I will be extremely poor so instead of a doing an August wishlist I've decided to do a post on what I'm looking for. These will all be products or colours that I really want but can't seem to find so if you know of any or can recommend something please comment!

1.  A natural coloured cream eyeshadow

I really want a skin tone/cream coloured cream eyeshadow with just a bit of glow to put on when I'm being lazy or to brighten up my eyes. I don't want to really order online because I like to look at colours up close and I'd really like it to be less than £5!

2. A matte plum eyeshadow

I'm looking for one that isn't too dark that you can't tell it's plum but also not too light that it's obvious I'm wearing it. I want this to wear with browns and creams, in the highstreet and under £5.

3. Something for my large pores

Even though I take good care of skin my pores around my nose and cheeks have been getting bigger and bigger over the last year! I'm not looking for something to put under makeup because I love my foundation and primer, I would maybe like a skin care product I can put on every day to help reduce them.

4. Something for my sometimes sore lip scar

I had stitches on the inside and outside of my bottom lip when I was 3. The scar has healed nicely but sometimes the skin over the scar wears away and I end up with super sore and red lips! I use vaseline alot which helps with the rest of my lips but not that part.

If you know of ANY product that could help me with these 4 things please tell me!!

July Loves

I've bought so many new beautiful makeup pieces this month that choosing just a few I love was really hard!

1. Essie Matte About You. I've had this about 2 months but I think it is definately my most reached for polish because it is perfect for turning any polish into a more everyday look.
2. Barry M Nail Paint in Mint Green. I've only used this once but it is now one of my favourite polishes. It's quite a soft green which I think is perfect for harsh Summer light and it isn't too shiny which is one reason why I love it so much; I don't really like overly shiny polishes!

3. Collection 2000 Cream Puff Lipglosses in Fairy Cake and Cotton Candy. I absolutely adore these and I really hope they bring out some more colours. They apply so softly, feel like velvet and are perfect for a more natural Summer look.

(No Flash)
4. Rimmel Glam Eyes Quad in Smokey Purple. I definately overuse this quad but the colours are perfect for a quick simple eyeshadow look and I use this most before work or if I'm just nipping out.

5. Sleek Blush in Rose Gold. This is the most beautiful blush in the entire world! It's a gorgeous pink with gold bits in it, and can be used for a bright glamourous cheek or a every day shimmer. I use this all the time and love it to pieces!

I wonder if any of these will make my August Loves!

EOTD + LOTD - Pretty In Pink

I'm really liking pinks at the moment, and I am not usually a pink loving girl! I think the colour looks nice on my skin tone in the sun (when it ever comes out!) so today even though it was looking like it might rain I thought I would cheer myself up and wear a bright yellow hoodie and  nice pink makeup!

All of the eyeshadows were from the Rimmel Glam Eyes Smokey Purple quad and the mascara is Collection 2000 Colour Lash in Clear.

I used Soap and Glory Sexy Motherpucker in Clear to plump up my lips for 10 minutes, then wiped it off and put on Collection 2000 Cream Puff in Cotton Candy.

Must Have Basics

We all have our multitude of different makeup colours, types and finishes but underneath all of that colour and perfection comes our basics. The ones we couldn't live without and help our skin look radient. I am of course talking about skin care products, and I thought I would do a little quick post of what I use to keep  my skin nice.

Step 1 Morning and Night: Bodyshop Cucumber Cleansing Milk and Freshening Water.

Step 2 Morning: Superdrug Vitamin E SPF15 Moisturiser.
Step 2 Night: Avon Solutions Complete Balance Night Gel
Step 3 Night: Avon Planet Spa Japanese Sake and Rice Eye Cream

The above are my face care basics that I love and work really lovely. The next few are extras that I couldn't live without.

Lip care must have: Vaseline!

Hand care must have: Vaseline moisturisers.

I also LOVELOVELOVE Mud (the ones called "Mud" not just made of mud) facemasks but don't have a picture because I've ran out :(

NOTD: Waterdrops

(I'm sorry for the rubbish pictures, it was hard to capture this effect! Also taken when wet so hadn't cleaned up yet)

Today I decide to try mixing matte with shiny polish. I put a normal polish on, adding my matte topcoat and then put normal polish dots on the top. Really simple and looks great when the light catches it!

Base coat: 1 coat of OPI Nail Envy Original
Polish: 2 coats of 17 Lasting Fix Seabreeze
Effect: 1 coat of Essie Matte About You

China Glaze Crackle Glaze Review

China Glaze Crackle Glaze Black Mesh

The China Glaze Crackle Glaze is a special effects top coat which when applied over another colour polish dries with the effect of cracks on your polish.

Crackle Glaze Black Mesh on top of 17 Sea Breeze.
Crackle Glaze Black Mesh on top of 17 Pink Grapefruit.

I really like the effect this polish gives because sometime bright colours can be too "in your face" and I think this kind of calms them down or distracts your eye from the colour below. You can use other effect polishes along with this one, such as a matte top coat on the colour and then the shiny crackle on top, or a glitter colour with the crackle on top! The crackle part can chip quite easily close to the tips of the nails because it's more raised than the rest of the polish, so it might not last that long depending on what you're doing (this photo was after around 30 hours), but I think it is perfect for a night out in the city or for a party!

Available in 6 normal shades and 6 metallic shades.
15ml bottle.
Can be applied over any colour nail varnish.
Available from for £9.25 each and £2.45 for delivery.
Might be found in Sallys.

Dries quite quickly.
A quick and easy nail art.
Nice range of colours.
Each nail will look different.
Different effects can be gained depending on how thick or thin the layer is.
Good brush with a not too thin but not really thick polish consistency.

Can chip easily because of the raised areas. (as seen above!)
Hard to get off.
Not easy to get hold of on the highstreet.
Perfectionist might not like the difficulty to make all nails the same.

I completely forgot to clean my brushes before taking the photos, sorry! Also, I use cheapish foundation sponges for my foundation because the foundation is so lightweight the foundation brushe leaves lines!

I use the closeup brushes the most and would 100% recommend this brand and this set for beginners who want to develop their skills a bit more!

There will be a review of the brand and brushes soon!

Colour B4 Extra: Before and After shots

The pictures aren't great because of the natural copper in my hair, it's hard to get true colours in photos so I'll have to try and describe them!

Before - Dyed dark brown but was starting to shine coppery in the light.
After - Very coppery/light brown on the top, and a deeper coppery darker brown at the bottom.

I sort of have an ombre style going off right now and I don't know if I'll dye it next week or not. My roots are still showing through because it's growing back this strange almost colourless colour but they aren't as obvious as before and my hair does look a lot more natural!

If people are interested I'll do a review of this along with a step to step guide on how I did it.
